Moroccan Night at Munaya

An evening of live music and Moroccan magic under the Blue Ridge stars.

Munaya means "my dream." For one night, it's yours too.

Saturday, August 15, 2026 · 6:00–10:00pm

The Experience

More than an event. A night you'll still be talking about in December.

I grew up in Fes, where evenings were never rushed — the music went late, the tea kept coming, and nobody checked the time, because the gathering was the point. Moroccan Night is the evening I was homesick for: live music filling the courtyard, belly dance lighting up the night, henna by candlelight, a grazing table and mint tea poured high, and dancing under the open sky until the night says it's done.

Live Music

Music to move you, under the stars.

Live music fills the courtyard all evening — the kind that starts as a whisper over mint tea and builds until you can't stay in your seat. Rhythms that carry the spirit of Morocco into the Blue Ridge night.

The Welcome

Mint tea and Moroccan sweets, the way home tastes.

In Morocco, tea isn't a drink — it's a welcome. All evening, atay poured high and sweet, alongside a grazing table of Moroccan delicacies: warm bread and olive oil, dates and almonds, briouats, ghriba, and honeyed sweets to linger over between songs.

The Performances

Candlelight. Rhythm. Ritual.

The Dance

A live belly dance performance in the courtyard — close, candlelit, impossible to look away from.

The Henna

A Moroccan henna artist adorns those who wish it — delicate patterns drawn by hand in the lantern light, yours to wear for days after.
