The Woman & The Land

Every dream has a keeper

About Munaya — The Woman and The Land

A sanctuary built by hand, from Fes to the Blue Ridge.

Munaya Means My Wish.

Munaya means my wish — my sacred dream. I named this land that on purpose.

It isn't a hotel. It isn't a retreat center. It isn't a spa or a glamping site. Munaya is a space for transformation and healing. It has been that for me. I pray it is that for everyone who comes.

The Land Does the Work

Nature remembers what we forget

Why Nature Heals.

We were never meant to heal under fluorescent light.

Something in us softens when we're held by mountains. The nervous system settles. The mind grows quiet. The body remembers a rhythm older than our schedules — sunrise, birdsong, the slow turn of the seasons. This isn't poetry. It's the oldest medicine there is.

At Munaya, the land is not a backdrop to the healing. The land is the healer. The fifteen acres, the waterfall, the fire, the forest, the open sky — they do what no room and no protocol can. We only hold the space, and let nature do the rest.

The Land's Oldest Medicine

The Elements as Medicine

Fire, water, earth, and air — each one an invitation to come home to yourself.

The Spark of Transformation

Where warmth becomes medicine and clarity rises from stillness.

  • The Sauna

Step into the cedar embrace of our barrel sauna. As the body softens and sweat releases what's heavy, you're invited into stillness.

  • The Fire Circle

Under the evening sky, gather around the flame in ritual and reflection — ancient storytellers guiding you back to your essence.

Water

Flow, Renewal, Rebirth

Water teaches us to surrender and begin again.

  • The Cold Plunge & Open-Air Shower

Cool mountain water under the open sky, surrounded by trees and birdsong. An elemental rinse that awakens the senses.

  • The Spa

Warm water beneath the vast expanse of stars, holding you in gentle release.

Earth

Grounding, Holding, Belonging

The land is alive — it reminds you that you belong here.

  • Forest Trails

Wander slowly, breathe deeply. Each step becomes a meditation, each breath a prayer.

  • From the Land

Fresh, organic nourishment grown on-site — healing in edible form, rooting you in the present.

Air

Clarity, Breath, Stillness

Breathe in presence; exhale what no longer serves.

  • The Sultana Pavilion

Perched above the trees with panoramic mountain views, an open-air sanctuary to move, breathe, and be.

  • The Glass Studio

Enclosed in light, where the breath becomes your anchor and silence becomes your teacher.

Beauty Is Not a Luxury

The Space You're In Shapes Who You Become.

We become who we are in the spaces that hold us.

A cramped, grey, joyless room asks us to shrink. A space of beauty, intention, and light invites us to expand — to remember the greatest version of ourselves, and to reach for it. Beauty is not a luxury. It is a doorway.

Every dome, doorway, and hand-cut tile at Munaya was chosen for this reason. Not for decoration — but because an inspiring setting gives the soul permission to rise. When a person stands somewhere truly beautiful, something in them says: perhaps I, too, am meant for more.

Moroccan Hospitality

From one home to another

A Gift From My Homeland.

I was born in Fes — a city of saints, scholars, and silence, and a culture known the world over for its hospitality. In Morocco, to welcome a guest is sacred. You offer your best. You pour the tea yourself. You make a stranger feel, within minutes, that they belong.

I carried that with me across an ocean. The doors of Munaya came from the medina. The tiles were cut by hand in Fes. But more than the tile and the brass, I brought the spirit — the belief that hospitality is holy, and that everyone who arrives deserves to feel truly held.

Munaya is my second home. And it would be my honor to share this part of my culture, and my heart, with you.

She holds space with grace, wisdom, and a quiet strength that makes you feel safe, seen, and supported. This isn't just a place — it's an experience shaped by someone who understands the art of healing.

I Have a Dream

I have a dream of a place where women rise rooted in their worth. Where they live in full expression of who they were created to be.

I dream of sacred spaces where grief becomes grace, where silence becomes scripture, and where every breath is a return to the Divine within.

I have a dream of people gathering in nature — shedding old stories, awakening new truths, stepping into their purpose with power, softness, and sovereignty.

I have a dream that as each soul remembers its light, the world will feel the ripple — in families, in communities, and in generations to come.

That place is Munaya.

A sanctuary where the soul rises whole, holy, and free.

Fifteen Acres

A Living Temple.

Nine sacred spaces across fifteen acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains — three Moroccan glamping domes, a farmhouse, a glass studio, a tiled tea house, an open-air pavilion, a spa, and a fire circle. Every corner made by hand, every detail chosen with intention.
